Tell me a little about yourself outside of kink. What do you do day to day?
I work a lot; video games, social hangouts and writing. Love to write and be creative.
Are your kink identities and ‘real life’ identities similar? How do they differ? How are they the same?
Certain portions are and certain ones are not. In real life, much like kink, I am adaptive to each situation – but in life I take a much more carefree and loose approach to things. In kink I’m much more engaged, thought driven and attentive.
How do you play with rope?
Normally I tie. I tie with great care and attentiveness. I try to be a conduit for my emotions to flow through the rope. Thus, I tend to be rather slow.
Why or how is rope different from other methods of bondage, for you?
Because rope for me is a tangible expression of emotion and an extension of one’s self. It expresses a much broader spectrum then most other forms of bondage are capable of. It gives me the freedom to be a little more creative.
What is it like after a rope-session?
It’s like a cathartic release. A freeing of bonds and mental bondage. Kind of ironic isn’t it?
When did you first know you liked rope?
From a very young age, not long after I started discovering my sexuality. My attraction to bondage was immediately to rope. It wasn’t until joining the kink community that I really began to understand and appreciate rope for the incredibly broad expression that it is. I have always loved rope and each turn of knowledge brings it out further and further.
What do you wish you’d have known, when you were just starting out in rope?
Whether tying or being tied, there is no good and bad. There is only you, your connection, your expression and the enjoyment of that moment between the two.
What would you want someone who knows nothing about rope to know about rope, and about you?
That it isn’t all about the sex. There is so much more if you open your mind and your heart. Save the judgments for after you’ve seen it in its beauty and soul. The same goes for people. The same goes for me.
Why did you want to be a part of this project?
Rope, kink and sexual acceptance of one’s self are all hugely important to me. I want to be a part of this to help shatter the mythos and dark mystery of rope, kink and bondage, and bring to light the emotion & beauty of it in a space where it can be seen and appreciated.
